Everyone understands the concept of the 10,000 hours to mastery so you put in the respectable hours on developing your skills on the court, and a little portion of those hours to your fitness.
But yet the #1 reason for losing matches is mental? Think about that? What’s wrong with that picture?
You can have the greatest strokes in the world or the fittest player out there but if you don’t have the mental endurance and resiliency you’re not going to win very much.
It takes time to develop your tennis skills just as it is to get stronger and faster. Your mental strength also takes time to develop. You don’t just get mentally stronger at tournaments. You won’t have the mental strength to handle the stress and pressure that comes with competing.
