Day 5 – US Open

September 5, 2020
Today was the first day that I had the opportunity to walk through the grounds at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. While sitting in on some of the matches at the outside courts I discovered:

✅ Some players feel like they’re playing practice matches.
✅ Some players find it difficult to get back in the competition mode.
✅ Players are enjoying the freedom of walking around the grounds.
✅ Other than Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium, every call is decided using the Hawk-Eye technology replacing lines people.
✅ Foot fault cameras.
✅ Hawk-Eye’s OUT, FAULT and FOOT FAULT calls have been pre-recorded by umpires.
✅ Automatic virtual replay will show a close call automatically on the scoreboard.
✅ Results is a confirmation to your hard work – Victoria Azarenka.
✅ Embracing the pressure – Novak Djokovic.
✅ Pressure is a privilege – Billie Jean King.
✅ Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect – Zoey Sayward

See you tomorrow!
